Resumo:
This study focuses on investigating the role of school management in the process of inclusion
of children with disabilities, since it is a fundamental part of educational development. Thus,
the study has the general objective of analyzing how managers of municipal schools in the
city of Conceição act in the process of inclusion of children with disabilities. As for the
chosen study methodology, a bibliographic research type was chosen. In addition to the
bibliographic research, which is so necessary for the development of any study, field research
was also chosen. The research analysis organized the data obtained in the interviews in the
form of a table, and then carried out the analysis and discussion of the results, according to
the qualitative approach. The first chapter addresses the topic of school management,
highlighting the functions, responsibilities and challenges faced by managers in the
administration of educational institutions. The second chapter focuses on inclusive education,
presenting the principles, public policies and pedagogical practices aimed at ensuring the
inclusion of students with disabilities in regular schools. Finally, the third chapter presents the
analysis of data collected through interviews and questionnaires administered to school
administrators in Conceição, seeking to understand their perceptions and practices regarding
the inclusion of children with disabilities. The study contributes to the understanding of the
challenges and advances in the field of inclusive educational management, highlighting the
role of administrators in promoting a more accessible and equitable school environment.
Finally, the study concludes that school administrators need to be better trained,
knowledgeable, and involved in the inclusion of children with disabilities, and alsopoints to
weaknesses in the city's educational management regarding services and practices to promote
