Resumo:
Many researches, in several areas, have been done using fractal geometry, it has been
useful to estimate soil physical hydric properties, thus the objective of this work was to determine the
availability of water of the soil (AD) using fractal theory based on two easy physical properties, the
water retention curve (DSWRC) and the distribution curve of soil particles (DPSD ). Using the fractal
theory by the determination of fractal dimension (D) based on the water retention curve permitted to
estimate, with high precision, the availability water values, using Brook and Cary model.
