Resumo:
Gender and war are two interconnected concepts, which reveal historical, social, cultural and economic dimensions in their interactions. This work seeks to highlight these relationships through the actions of the Five hundred and eighty-eighth Night Bombardment Regiment, accessed through the following sources: the book The Witches of the Night: The Untold History of the Russian Women's Air Regiment During the Second World War (2019) and the documentary Night Witches (2013), by filmmaker Gunilla Bresky. The objective of this research is to contextualize the female figure and war from a political approach to the dynamics of power and control present in Russian society. Therefore, the research consisted of a film analysis methodology based on the contributions of Marc Ferro (1992), also of research and bibliographic review. The work also seeks to carry out a political and intersectional analysis of women and the war front. It is also intended to reveal structures of power, class and ethnicity. Thus, the work is also part of discussions that question and reveal hegemonic and homogeneous narratives about women and the front, revealing male privileges of memory and protagonism.
