Resumo:
This monograph aims to analyze the teaching practice of a hearing impaired teacher with a
deaf student from an early childhood education institution in Bonito de Santa Fé - PB, since
this is a current topic in the Brazilian social, cultural and educational context. This is a basic
research, referring to a case study, with a qualitative approach, with an observational nature
and technical procedures of field research. This study is based on reflections collected from
the Google Scholar and Scielo platforms, regarding the content of Inclusive Education, its
history and legislation, Early Childhood Education, teacher training, becoming a researcher,
etc. Methodologically, the study is divided into three stages, which consist of a literature
review of academic studies that support the topic, an interview with the teacher of the deaf
child and field observation, recorded in the Field Diary. The data analyzed prove an education
with little inclusive character, since there is a lack of teacher training in the area of inclusive
education. The planning, methods, proposed activities and communication between the
hearing impaired teacher and the deaf student are based on a limited conception of what refers
to Inclusive Education. It is essential that there be a relationship between the regular
classroom and the Specialized Educational Assistance room, which is not a reality during the
teaching practice of the teacher in question.
