Irrigação na bacia hidrográfica do Rio Gramame, Paraíba: um estudo de base.

Abstract

Due to the reduction of the precipitation in the last years in Gramame river basin, Paraíba State, the use of the water of Gamame-Mamuaba reservoir for the irrigation was prohibited to give priority for the human and animal supplying. From the records of irrigation users, observations on the site, and technical information, it was made a study of base in order to diagnose how the irrigation was used in Gramame river basin, in the intention to subsidize the making decision people in the rational water use planning for future generations. From the obtained results, it was verified that it is necessary a systematic orientation for the small irrigation users, how to make the correct irrigation systems and, thus, to be able to reach the integrated water resources management and getting profits using their investment in a more rational way
