Résumé:
The main aim of this work is focused on calibration and validation of empirical models to
predict Cl- and Na+ concentration, where electrical conductivity (EC) was independent variable. Data set
used in this study were sampled in the Distrito de Irrigação Baixo Acaraú (DIBAU), with an area
around 8,440 ha, sited in down part of Acaraú basin, Ceará State, Brazil. Water samples were
collected at ten wells, monthly from jan/04 to sept/05, except april and july/2004, pooled a total
of 190 samples. The physical chemical analyses were realized at EMBRAPA/CNPAT water and
soil laboratory. The Cl- and Na+ predict models showed an excellent performance index (c>0,90) and
Willmontt index equal to 0,97 e 0,99, respectively. This suggesting that the developed equations are
good for prediction of Cl-
and Na+ concentrations.
