Resumo:
The aim of this work was to study the effect of different irrigation nets and irrigation
interval the water use efficiency (WUE) on Panicum maximum Jacq. cv Tanzania. The experiment was
carried out under greenhouse conditions where drums were filled out with soil and cultivated with
grass. The irrigations were performed with a frequency of 1, 4 and 7 days, in order to reestablish soil
water content to 50, 75 and 100% of the total available water in the soil. The WUE was determined by
the reason among to produced of dry matter by the amount of used water. Results showed that the
larger values of WUE were found in smaller irrigation nets just in the last cuts and a relationship was
verified directly proportional among to WUE and the factor irrigation interval.
