Resumo:
Water bodies responsible for occupation and development trends in several regions
suffer the consequences of regular activities of those who depend on them for living. River catchment
planning processes has to overcome lack, or even absence, of qualitative and quantitative information
about environment, mainly due to use, control and increase of consumption demand. This study had
the objective of identifying water demand at the Experimental Farm and verifiy wether the flows in the
São João and Sambaíba rivers are sufficient to supply the farm. This study shall help the decision
taking relative to production affairs and water management, keeping safe minimum amounts of water
produced within the farm. As first unfolding fo this work, it was possible to decide seasonal amount
of water collected in the rivers and which source to use for each need.
