Precipitação esperada, em diferentes níveis de probabilidade, no município de Maringá, PR.

Abstract

The aim of this work was to determine the expected pluviometric precipitation in different levels of probability to Maringá – Paraná, Brazil. The study was based on daily data of rainfall for a period of 26 years, obtained from climatological station of Universidade Estadual de Maringá, grouped on 10 day periods. Rainfall was estimated using gamma distribution at 96, 94, 93, 90, 85, 80, 75, 70 and 50% probability levels. The gamma distribution provided a good fit. The values of expected precipitation for return periods of 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 14, 17, 25 years were obtained by a combinated distribution.
