Resumo:
Solidarity economy is a true ally in social inclusion within local markets. This study aims to analyze the practices of solidarity economy at the central fair of Serra Branca-PB, investigating its contributions to the economic and social sustainability of the fair vendors. The objectives include investigating the characteristics and dynamics of these practices, evaluating their impact on network generation and the living conditions of participants, identifying the challenges and opportunities for strengthening the solidarity economy, and proposing strategies for semi-structured interviews. The results indicate that the fair functions as an important space for social interaction but faces significant challenges, such as a lack of governmental incentives and low customer traffic. The lack of adequate investment compromises the strengthening of the solidarity economy, highlighting the need for public policies that require financial support and structural improvements to ensure the viability and growth of this economic model.
