By virtue of the potentiality and use of pingo-de-ouro (Duranta repens L.) in
public and private roads, for your ornamental aspect, serving as embroidery for stonemasons,
walls and catwalks, that work had as objective, to investigate the capacity of to take root of the
stakes of pingo-de-ouro, starting from the application of tiamina, extracted of the tablet of
Benerva, submitted to different substrate and amounts of leaves with stakes of 5 and 10
centimeters. The experiment was accomplished in the period of April to June of 2004, being led
at the house of vegetation of located COODETEC in Cascavel city - Pr. The experiment was led
entirely in casual lines with 16 treatments and 5 repetitions, totaling 320 samples. After 70 days
of the planting, they were appraised the following variables: rooted stakes, a number medium of
roots for stake and medium length of the roots for stake. It was verified that the experiments led
without tiamina, in substratum of sand and of verrniculita they don't offer significant results with
relationship to the development and to take root of the stakes. However, in the experiments with
tiamina submitted to the substratum of sand and stakes.
