Resumo:
The methodologies usually used and recommended to esteem the application of water
for the plants are based in climatic elements, being the solar radiation the element with larger
influence. The objective of this work was to analyze the relationship among the space distributions of
the evapotranspiration of reference (ET0) dear for Penman-Monteith - FAO and of the incident solar
radiation in the surface (Rs) in the state of Minas Gerais. The values of ET0 were dear for the method
of Penman-Monteith, standardized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), starting from
data originated diaries of registrations of 42 climatological stations of the National Institute of
Meteorology (INMET) regarding a period of 17 years (1961 to 1978). The data of Rs were also dear of
that same database. With aid of the System of Geographical Information maps geospatializeds of ET0
were generated and of Rs. The space distribution of Rs is very similar to the space distribution of ET0,
showing, like this, that the incident solar radiation in the terrestrial surface (Rs) it is confirmed as a
climatic element of great influence in the estimate of the value of ET0.
