Resumen:
The yellow passion fruit (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa Deg.) by it rusticity rapid
return of money applied and the preference by market it is a crop with economic viability in more part
of area of the Brazil. In this direction an experiment was carried out in Coronel Ezequiel Country area
semi-arid fron Rio Grande do Norte State, Brazil, in randomised blocks in order to evaluate some yield
comportaments of the plants under irrigation with saline water (3,4 dS m-1), using the factorial desing

referring at planting distance between plants in line of 3, 6, 9 and 12 m, in soil no and with
mulching of apexe of the hast principal to attain the sustentation wire. The increase of planting
distance of the plants in line provided increase of numbrer fruits by plant, the average mass the of fruit
but decreased the passion fruit plants yeild. In a comparison with plants irrigated with water no saline
at the scientific literatura the height salinity of the water irrigation (3,4 dS m-1) no affeted the
prodoctive capacity of the yellow passion fruit plants.
