Résumé:
According to Bagno (2012), adverbs are the best example to demonstrate the fragility of definitive classifications, the instability inherent to grammar of any language, the uninterrupted processes of grammaticalization and the possibility of words performing multiple and different functions. Considering this phenomenon, it is analysed the textual-interactive behaviour of adverbs in the construction of the textual genre in the journalistic field of news. To this end, as a theoretical foundation, it is used authors from traditional grammars, such as Rocha Lima (2014), authors from descriptive grammars, such as Perini (2015), Azeredo (2014) and Bagno (2012), authors who are situated between the grammatical tradition and contemporary linguistics, such as Bechara (2009; 2015), and authors who promote functional grammatical reflections, such as Pinilla (2013), Basílio (2011) and Castilho and Elias (2011), the latter two being extremely important in helping to explore temporal deictic adverbs from the perspective of functional linguistics. To textual genre and language conceptions, it is used Schneuwly and Dolz (2004), Lage (1996; 2006) and Antunes (2003). News that circulated in 2023 about a scam that a financial investment company that worked with crypto-assets (virtual currency), allegedly a financial pyramid scheme on its clients, were chosen. From the point of view of the objectives, this is a descriptive study; in terms of technical procedures, it is document research. The data analysed showed that adverbs behave differently throughout the news structure (headline, subhead, lead and body) and in some parts of the text they don't even appear. The presence of deictic adverbial phrases (syntagma, periphrases) was more common in the news than the deictic adverb in its simple form in the news.
