Résumé:
The heterogeneity of agro-climatic, social and economic situation in the Brazilian semi-arid
land requires some local adaptations of water resources uses and conservation technologies. For this
reason, there are many alternatives for the acquisition of clean water. Among those we can outline the
rational exploration of underground alluvial reservoirs, which, in the present situation of water necessity
in the region, are as important as any major underground reservoir. In this work, an approach was made
about one alternative being the construction of subsurface dams in the Northeast region of Brazil, where
the qualitative behavior of the alluvial reservoir and the use was analyzed.
