Resumen:
The Brazilian soybean production has grown in the last years in productivity and in
planted area and these increases had started to demand greater quality and rapidity in the harvesting,
that when carried through improperly, causes considerable losses, diminishing the productivity. The
present work has as objective the losses quantification in the soybean mechanized harvesting in
function of the displacement’s speed and threshing system regulations (threshing drum-concave). The
experimental delineation was randomized block, in factorial assay, with three displacement’s speeds
(3,0; 3,7 and 6,0 km.h-1) and two concave clearance between the threshing drum and concave (40 and
29 mm), with four repetitions. It was verified that significant differences for header losses in function
of the harvesting speed had not occurred. It was observed that if varying the concave clearance
between the threshing drum and concave in each displacement’s speed, had occurred significant
differences, with bigger losses for the lesser concave clearance in the lesser speed.
