Resumo:
The transport of the fig harvested, of the orchard until the processing, is made
traditionally with basket of bamboos that are handling discomfort and harm the final quality of fruit.
Looking for to reduce losses and to improve the work conditions, it is being developed for the
Embrapa - Feagri (College of Agricultural Engineering of the UNICAMP) a new basket of harvest
that more takes care of to the necessity of protection of the fruits and either to be more comfortable
for handling.
This work looked for to evaluate a prototype of the basket Embrapa - Feagri of the point of view of
the handling comfort, that it used anthropometrics and biomechanics parameters. Besides that, it
was evaluated the efficiency of the protection accomplishes of the fruits, in the new basket, during
the transport. For this research had been used quantitative and qualitative methods. The field tests
had been made in producing properties of fig of the region of Valinhos, São Paulo.
