Resumo:
The great part of agriculture production costs in Brazil is function of fertilizer
application. However, fertilizer mechanisms can give a no uniform application or an application that
not correspond to the manual. The excessive in fertilizer application can be damaging to crop, to the
environment and product’s waste. The lack can make an increase in productivity. The objective of this
work was characterizing an helicoidal fertilizer distributor. Tests were made to define the power
demand necessary to run the fertilizer distributor and the application rate by engine rotation shaft
curve. The equipment showed a linear application rate and didn’t demand a great power to operation,
so it was adequate to control’s variable rate systems application.
