Resumo:
The present work had the objective to evaluate the loading capability of the claws of
0,5 m2 and 1,0 m2 used respectively in the forest loaders, Caterpillar 312 BL and Caterpillar 320 CL,
by comparing the overall loading time, was analyzed the loading of Eucalyptus Grandis logs with 6,0
m of length. The data were collected in Lençóis Paulista-SP, Brazil, district in two distinct stages. In
the first stage times were noted to continuously load using the 0,5 m2 claw and in the second stage
times were noted again to continuously load but using the 1,0 m2 claw. In both cases the same
operators were used. The results show a superior the loading capability by the 1,0 m2 claw when
compared to that of the 0,5 m2 claw.
