Resumo:
The research was conducted at orchard of orange of the Campus of
UNESP/Jaboticabal, being evaluated the effect of the flame application on the weeds, the microbial
activity of the soil and the dynamics of the bank of seeds. The rehearsal was composed by 5
treatments, being: testifies; glyphosate; paraquat; thermal treatment with speed of displacement of 1,41
and 3,75km ha-1. The treatments were applied, sequence, in the street of the orange orchard, in an area
of 30m2. The effects of the treatments were appraised to the 07 and 14 days after the application. Of
the observed results: the thermal control was shown efficient, mainly the speed of 1,41km ha-1, in
comparison with the control chemical; the method is demonstrated to be viable in the months of
winter, condition that limits the use of chemical; the microbial activity non susceptive was
demonstrated to the action of the temperature; it was verified in a general way that there was increase
in the germination of seeds after the thermal treatment, however the emergency of the species
Synedrellopsis grisibachii and Type horizontalis it decreased respectively in 50 and 80%.
