Résumé:
Works in the West of Paraná on compaction of the soil, present negative effect of the
use of machines under conditions of excessive humidity, with the productivity being affected seriously
by the resulting compaction of several years of intensive cultivation. The objective of this work is that
measures of the structure of the soil can help in the planning of cultivation systems, foreseeing
convenient conditions for the development of the cultures with minimum damage to the environment.
They were appraised two treatments: No-tillage (only cultivated along the crop line) and minimum
tillage (sub soiling to 0,25 m followed by leveling). The soil is a Typic Haplorthox, where they were
appraised the text of water, soil bulk density, particle soil density, aggregated soil density, porosity,
structural index of emptiness, textural index of emptiness, in four different layers (0 – 50 mm, 50 –
100 mm, 100 – 150 mm and 150 – 200 mm) with two repetitions for each cultivation system. The no-tillage system presented values of matter organic higher, smaller values of density of the soil, larger
capacity of retention of water and a strip of work of the widest soil than minimum tillage, being shown
a handling system more adapted to the area
