Resumo:
The objective of this work was evaluating the drawbar force and the fuel consumption
of the furrow opener mechanism in no till machines in the implantation of corn plants (Zea mays L.).
This field experiment was conducted in Experimental Farm Lageado of University of Agronomic
Sciences – Unesp – Campus of Botucatu SP, in soil classified as Nitosoil Red distroférrico. The
experimental design was randomized block, with four replications and four treatments. The results
showed that were statistical differences among the treatments. In the greatest operation depth (0,20m),
the drawbar force had an increased 60 and 79% respectively in relation the furrow opener 0,10m and
double disk, and for the fuel consumption had an increased 19 and 33% respectively. The treatment
without furrow opener showed the minor valor, and it can be an option for no compact soils.
