Resumo:
One of the great challenges of the agro-industrial sector is to combine quality with high
productivity, satisfying the market requirements. In this direction, automation tools must be applied in
many agricultural processes. This work describes the implementation and tests of an automatic system
for classification of agricultural products, using weight criterion. The transport of the products is
through a belt using a dynamic system of weight measurement. Two pneumatic cylinders are used for
the discharging of the products. A programmable logic controller is used to compare the weight of the
product with the boundary-values selected for the user. The ladder language was used in an application
for the automatic classification, discharging products that are of the established band. The use of an
automatic classification system in agricultural process products can raise the productivity and the
reliability of the process.
