Resumo:
The present research was conducted in UEM, Maringá-PR. To verify the effect of attack angle
the sprayer in natural targets constituted by Brachiaria decumbens Stapf. It were used seven treatments with
five replications corresponding seven attack angle (450, 300, forward; 00 or vertical displacement; 450, 300,
backwards). Herbicide was applied by using a spray simulator pressurized with compressed air, with four AD
11002 flat fan nozzles. The constant work pressure was 30 psi, and the solution volume, 188 L ha-1.
Application speed was 6,0 km h-1. During herbicide application, the air temperature was 280C and the relative
humidity, 82%. Visual control evaluations were carried out on the 7, 14, 21, days after herbicide application.
All the tested angles and rates provided different controls of Brachiaria decumbens plants. Forward
displacement of the attack angle influenced favorably on the control of the plants.
