Resumo:
With objective to evaluate the losses caused for harvesters of cereals during the harvest
corn crop, experiment was installed in area of the Department of Agricultural Engineering of the
College of Agrarian Sciences and Veterinarians, Unesp, Campus of Jaboticabal-SP, having used itself
2 coverings of the ground and 3 handlings of the covering. The experimental plan was maybe
accomplished in blocks 2x3 with 4 repetitions with the following factors: covering of the ground, three
systems of handling (cutting roller, straw chopper and herbicide). It used harvester SLC 1165, power of
103 kw in the engine. They had been evaluated, the diameter of stalk, height of insertion of the spike,
height of the plants, last population, productivity, quantitative losses, flow, flow of MOG and flow of
grains in harvesters. Only the height of the plants and the diameter of stalk they had presented resulted
significant, concluding that, even so statistical differences for height of plants and diameter of stalk
occur significant, are concluded that the used types of covering, with its respective systems of
handling, do not affect the harvest system consequently and, the losses of occured grains during this
process.
