Abstract

The way to relate and communicate has changed a lot since the emergence of social networking platforms, this type of interaction has even altered the way each individual behaves in a given society. This work investigated from the origin of the smartphone as one of the most used instruments of interaction when analyzing the impacts in the social relations between university students of the Federal University of Campina Grande, Sumé campus. Secondary data related to the use of this device were interwoven with the design of cyberculture, culture of convergence, social networks supported by the use of interviews with questionnaire reports to outline the profile of Smartphone users and their consequences, with the current fit of sociability that occurs in the daily life of individuals, reflecting interpersonal relationships in modernity by being a user of these platforms.
