Résumé:
This work aimed to implement improvements in an automatic cotton height mapping
system that was developed in 2004 at the farm GBC in Correntina, Bahia (QUEIROS;
SHIRATSUCHI; VINHAL, 2005). The relevant modifications for the PGR Collector System (Plant
Growth Regulator) were: (i) elimination of periodical batteries recharge of the palmtops with direct
connection to self-propelled batteries; support to SD memory cards increasing the storage capacity;
calculating and sending the lectures average made by the sensors while the system waits for a
geographic position sending by GPS receiver. For the system named AESP (Spatial Analysis) the
modifications were: (i) AESP migration from text mode to graphic user interface improving the man machine interaction; (ii) during this migration, AESP was remodelled in order to allow more efficiency
in the inclusion of new methods of spatial analysis or simulation; (iii) For all the methods used to
generate the variable maps, it was used K-means clustering algorithm as a support for classes
intervals; (iv) the ability to process other variables, like corn yield, soil electrical conductivity
and others.
