Resumen:
In order to reduce the costs of the agricultural production it is advisable the usage of
the equipaments with GPS system, as light bar (LB), that is adopted and coupled to the spray boom
reducing the overlap of the parallel swathing and reducing it in areas without application. The aim of
this work was to analyze the economical feasibility of using LB as a target instrument during the
spraying of agrochemicals, if you compare this one with the foam marker guidance. To show this
viability it was used data from a property locate in Sertaneja city of Paraná state in Brazil during the
summer harvest of 2003 and the winter harvest of 2004. It was taken into account the costs of each
application and the values were calculated considering the difference between the volumes in the two
equipments e the final price of them. Since the results pointed and measured it was noticed the
economical viability of the light bar equipment, the return of the usage of this equipment is reached
after 2.7 productive cycles, or in 35.2 applications in total area that means 13,816 ha.
