Abstract

The concentration of total and volatile solids of the wastewater from two intensive pig productions in growth and termination phases was evaluated. The ST varied from 1.7 to 3.9% and SV from 85.7 to 84.8% of ST. The composition and concentration of pig wastewater varied, due to the nutritional, phase of animal life and volume of water used in the washing the stalls.
