Resumo:
The intensive system of animal production proportion the creation of great amounts of
wastes. The application of the rude manure in the soil can cause environmental problems, as smell,
pollution of surface waters and underground, due to the lixiviation of nutrients and accumulation of
heavy metals. Whit based in the exposed, was aimed in this work a mineral survey of the composition
generated in the composting process. Eighteen (18) swine were used (nine castrated males and nine
females) for 77 days (growth and termination phases) servants in deep bedding system formed by
sawdust. They were determinate N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn and Cr. In agreement with the
obtained results, an increase was find out in the concentrations of estimated nutrients, indicating the
efficiency of composting process in the recycling of nutrients, proportioning this way a better
conditioning of the soil and increase in the tenor of organic matter of it.
