Resumo:
Due to the industrial advance, organizations deal daily with complex production techniques
that present intrinsic risks in their processing that can generate irreversible damages to the
organizational structures, man and the environment if not properly managed and monitored.
Therefore, it is necessary to identify the possible organizational risks, through innovative
methods, in order to prevent the occurrence of possible accidents at work, guaranteeing work
safety. In view of the above, the objective of this work is the development of a new risk
management tool, the Work Safety Canvas. Its elaboration was possible through the study and
comparison of the characteristics present in 12 traditional tools and methods of risk
management. These tools were applied in order to understand the structures and functions of
each one of them, to later determine the characteristics of WS Canvas. Finally, the proposed
tool was applied in a case study of a ceramic industry, located in Serra Talhada-PE, to
evaluate its usability and efficiency.
