Indicadores de sustentabilidade ambiental para o diagnóstico dos recursos hídricos das bacias dos Rios Piracicaba, Capivari e JundiaÍ: Parte I - aspectos físicos e socioeconômicos.

Abstract

This paper presents an evaluation of the use conditons of the water resources into the Unidade de Gerenciamento de Recursos Hídricos das Bacias dos Rios Piracicaba, Capivari e Jundiaí – UGRHI 5, do Estado de São Paulo. There were selected four indicators of environmental sustainability to evaluate physical and socioeconomic aspects that impacting the quality and availability of the water resources. The selected indicators had been used for setting comparative relationship between examined sub-basins and indicating intervention priorities for protection, conservation and rational use of the water resources. Generally, the selected indicators had been showed the environmental conditions of the examined sub-basins and the necessity of environmental policies.
