Análise morfométrica da microbacia do córrego lanoso, município de Uberaba – MG.

Abstract

The morphometric analysis of the drainage net in watersheds has as main objective to develop the knowledge of the relations between the cause and the effect that has been established in the geologic and hydrologic processes for formatting the hydrographic basins, and with the analysis of the land use can elucidate some measurements of the control of the draining of superficial waters, protection of the vegetation and control of the erosion process, with consequences in protecting the hydro resources. The main objective was to analyze the morphometric characteristics of the drainage net and the land use for showing the propensity of floods and the potential of the land use in the microbasin of the Lanoso Stream, in the City of Uberaba, Minas Gerais State, for supplying subsidies for elaborating prognostics in the projects of environment planning. The microbasin of the Lanoso Stream presents moderate risk of flooding and potential of land use for forest, requiring a criterions evaluation for delimiting the land use.
