Abstract

This paper has a themme that is female ageing representations in Boa Vista city. In this study, it is presented the way that uomen and ageing were introduced was a object of study according to the History, as a literature thet discusses the ageing with Barros e Debert. In this point of view from these interviews in the interior of the Brasilian State of Paraíba, tising as a methodology oral history to perceive although that these women are in retirement age, they preffer to keep on working, and like this, they are a work reference to the older women, as usefull women, enjojing their rights. After the retirement age. The results of this analysis show u show they imprave their identities as older women. For indentity concept we used Hall, and we discuss about the representations concept to comprebend the idea of work representation o folder women, we discuss according the Chartier concept.
