The use of medicinal plants in the agroindustrial field appears as a growing world trend, mainly by the phytotherapy conditions from bioactive compounds with therapeutic actions. The commercialization of these herbs and byproducts serves a diverse population, including consumers, marketers, retailers, markets and large pharmaceutical
/ biotechnology industries. Thus, the importance of dealing with aspects of production, use, commercialization, business and trends of medicinal plants in the agroindustrial context is raised. For the accomplishment of the research, bibliographical sources were available on the Internet based on qualified journals, books, dissertations and theses. Due to the acclaim of the content, it can be concluded that the use of medicinal plants in the agroindustrial context, especially in phytotherapic issues is a promising market that has been gaining prominence at the national and international level, and that ethnopharmacological research has become a great ally of the biotechnological centers of synthesizing drugs with information on the therapeutic actions of certain plants. Meanwhile, the sale of natural products at fairgrounds, medicinal herbs houses are better seen in the fair social market environment for producers and in the healthier aspect for consumers.
