Resumo:
In this survey we undertake a study about the history o f Antonio Domingos Camarão, while
leadership o f indigenous aldeados in o f Pernambuco, and other associated to captainships,
occupy the position of Govemor of Indians over the years between 1721-1732, taking into
account the temporal search Solutions for the provision of land and aldeias of its respective
jurisdiction. Over the course o f our study, we analyze applications mercês (foro fidalgo, titles
of Knights, patents, land, offices, etc.), made by "Família Camarão", considered "loyal
vassals" by settlers, which wanted to insert in colonial bureaucracy, through the "view" of
their titles and honours conquest. Our concem tums, therefore, to the idea o f how values of
honor and privilege were being somehow incorporated or "translated" by the so-called "chefes
tupis" over the contacts made, ressignificando these mercês obtained for Services rendered to
colonial bureaucracy sociabilities networks found within indigenous communities.
