along with them there are others historie subjects whom compose this web of
relationships which are fundamental the upshot of this case. This paper is part of the
research area called Family History in the Portuguese America. Following a micro
historie approach according to Ginzburg, we analyze the specific case o f the Almeida
family from the city of Salvador - Bahia, aiming at comprehending the subversive
actions from both subjects in that society. Therefore, we reflect upon the concepts of
jiguration, networks o f interdependence, power and tensions balance according to
Nobert Elias perspective. Furthermore, throughout the chapters, we approach themes
such as family Standard, children education, paternal authority and family-society
relationship. Finally, we consider that the subjects in question became active in their
