Resumo:
In this research we analise the popular religiosity, the faith and the reason of
“grotsque” to “sublime”, ande tôo the “religious festival” of the city of Boqueirão,
Paraiba. The holy mother reflecting about the part ofthe catholic church turned to her
people formation for the development of his culture, his values and his instituitions. In
right way, the religion does parto f a culture with her divergences, who suffer changes
caused by experiences and vivences of each person.
The Brazilian county, formed by many religions, brough by peoples from
different cultures (meanty indians, africans and portugueses) shown a dissimilaritute
catholicism, then, the Black people came from África, Who brings with himselfs his
own religion, like the indians, Who worships his own deities.
Was utilized like collect instrument oral data, theorica data, like: COMBLIN
(1978), OLIVEIRA (1985), PIERUCCI & PRANDI (1996) and ZALUAR (1983) etc. to
compare and reflect the part of the church in the popular religiosity.
