Resumo:
This paper aims to analyze the process of verticalization of the city of Campina
Grande in the last decades, we highlight three factors to better understand this
process, first what is the need to have this vertical advance, then we will see the
consequences of this advance and finally we will analyze what was the contribution
of this process to the workers of our city in terms of quality of work and safety. The
verticalization is a necessity found in the big cities to solve the problems of use and
occupation of the ground. This process is related to the valorization of the land, good
infrastructure, safety and convenience, Campina Grande has today an automobile
dynamics that does not match its space capacity, we have a sweliing of vehicles and
this is basically due to vertical growth. At peak times we have a greater sense of this
problem, in this context we observe that this is due to the fact that as the city grows
verticaliy the cars fill the city and occupy the space that was not prepared for it. We
can observe that this advance in the verticalization in Campina grande brings some
factors to be studied such as the use of the soil, segregation of the periphery, the life
of the workers and their valorization, the climatic changes due to the* wind bus, the
alteration in the landscape and the accumulation of vehicles in the city. These are
some consequences and causes of verticalization and we will analyze this dynamics
better. The verticalization happened with the process of urban evolution, being
associated with the actions of the economic and real estate activities that currently
undergo several investments of the private sector, causing a new modeling in the
urban infrastructure.
