Resumen:
This studied investigated the environmental impact due mussel farm in the district of
Anchieta (Brazil – ES) by spatial distribution of granulometric composition, organic matter and
total phosphorus in the sediments. The results of this study indicate that the mussel culture did not
alter significantly organic matter and phosphorus between sites that has direct and indirect influence
of mussel culture. The impact can be considered like punctual, mainly in 2C station, where were
met the bigger values of total phosphorus (0,17 mg/g) and organic matter (6%) concentration. In
general the results suggest that the mussel farm is not causing impact in sediments and consequently
in environment.
