Resumo:
Concern for the environment, given the reality of climate change, becomes evident with the
increase in the exploitation of natural resources for economic activities and their impacts on
nature. Authorities and the scientific community show greater concern about the damage
caused by human interference in nature, given that our energy matrix relies for the most part
on non-renewable energy sources and emits polluting gases. Given this perspective, ideas
emerge, such as wind and solar energy, aimed at the field of sustainable development with an
emphasis on the production of renewable energy that does not emit polluting gases. The fact
that these are renewable energies that do not emit polluting gases does not mean that they do
not produce environmental impacts. The object of this study is a systematic and in-depth
review of the impacts caused by the expansion of wind and solar energy on water availability
in a region. Work available in national and international repositories was used. Impacts could
be seen regularly in research, which were considered jointly and represented risks to water
availability.
