Resumen:
The present work seeks to analyze the use of didactic sequences for teaching History and
presents a methodological proposal for History classes in the final years of Elementary School
with the theme of Cangaço based on cordel literature, at E.E.F.T.I. Jarismar G. Melo, located
in the municipality of Ipaumirim - CE, The objective is to work on the topic from a Cordelist
perspective through a proposed didactic sequence, creating bridges with popular knowledge
and valuing the country identity, making the student become subject of your own learning. To
carry out this work we used two strings, “The arrival of lampião in hell” by José Pacheco (1993)
and “The encounter of Lampião with priest Cícero in heaven” by Minelvino Francisco Silva
(199?). Through these strings we organize a sequence of classes that can provide students with
a new experience and knowledge about cangaço in our region. For this analysis, we will use
authors such as: Domingues (2017), Tavares Júnior (1996), Sousa (2020), Clemente (2020),
Santos (2021), Lima (2008) as a theoretical basis.
