Résumé:
The present study aims to show the development of the quality level of the
Brazilian population life within the 70s and 80s, in the first moment when a time of
great economic dymanics.the so called fast grow.rising employment at a 7% rate
year.right above the economic working population.(PEA). This is observed, at the
same time and contrastly, as a raising inequality to social matters, and to a so bad
income distribution.
On the other hand, during the 80s, a time known as "The lost decade" or an
economic estagnationjt's seen a diferent gap, wich is marked by a remarkable
progress of some social indicators on the 60, despite of delay wich was a feature to the
decade, such as the life expectancy that improves greatly in the 80s, comparing to the
70s, as the illiterate percentage and number of inhabitants per doctor.
Concerningto the child mortality rates, what is observed is a decrease to about
half of the rates checked in 1970. Back to 80s, the agriculture emergency is
outstanding as a leader in the economic matter, wich begins to work as balancing
power making the income grow a bit soft. It's remarkable to say that this outstanding
improvement about some social indicators during a "whole economic stop" is related to
the package on social investment, done by the state in the 80s.
From this analyses on an index has been built to be checked for life's quality
and quantity, making use of six social indicators, such as: children mortality, life hope,
family income, unemployment rate, illiterate rate, and scholar level.
The stuied data concerning to these ranges shows an increasing damage in
the life quality in the country, following, in all, to the deterioration of a few views in the
Northeast region and stagnation or even the fall of the same matters in the South
region.
