Resumo:
On this current issue, the acquisition of reading code is the object of study. In
contemporary societies the reading of written word configures in a decisive skill for a
person in training will be able to understand and discourse with the communication
symbols transform, in this manner, the dominance of writing is an indispensable tool
to social participation in all ambits. However, its acquisition is a complex process
which demands great efforts from both the reading in training as the mediators of this
process, in nowadays social conjuncture, the teachers. From this perspective, this
work’s aim analyzes the effectiveness of diversified activities in order to improve the
students’ performance regarding the acquisition of written code domain. The
methodology trajectory happens through bibliographic research and research-action,
using as data collection tools the field journal and participating observation. The
performed research-action enables the certification that the varied activities
constitute an effective mean on the improvement of students’ performance
concerning the acquisition of written code domain, insofar as provide to students the
direct and meaningful contact with reading practices in diversified modalities. Thus, it
draws a conclusion that is relevant intensify reading practices with proper teacher’s
mediation in face of the act that reading provides to the subject the contact with
formal language, improving its vocabulary as a result, stimulating the creativity and,
mainly, subsidize the capacity of analyzing and the personal positioning about
different themes, likewise, configure in a democratizing component of the knowledge,
guiding the reader to release from social strength that locks it way to ignorance.
