Novas alternativas para a fumicultura no Município de Sombrio- SC.

Abstract

This work has, as the mean aim, to analize the culture of tobacco in the city council of Sombrio, States of Santa Catarina: the integrated Companies of Tobacco, the integrated Producers and the wasted time in the production of. It'll be veried if this activity covers the opportunities offered by the market, where it will be considered (1) Living wage " per capita".The culture of Tobacco was studied in this city council from March, 1995 until September, in the year 1997, where informations werw colected in regional and local instituitions in order to see how integration and labour tasks works, and with interviews involviews involving fourteen producers, supervisors and trainers of the Companies and experts that supervise the city council of Sombrio.The Companies Souza Cruz, Dimon do Brasil and Universal Leaf Tabacos cover 100% of the searched universe. The relaction of integration establishes by mean of written contracts created by the company, where it is engaged in furnish seeds, fertilizers an basic equipaments, tecnical assistence and the purchase of the tobacco in "manocas" (dolls, as it is know here), while the producer is engaged to produce according to the tecnical advertising and sell the product to this company. The parts of the system of production and the number of hours wasted in each one permits to establish the total number of hours during the journey of work iv and the cycle of tobacco "per capita".Konowing these informations it is possible to compare how much the producer of tobacco and how much a producer of another kind of economy have got at the end, revealing a great similarity of valuables between them. By this way, the integration appears as an alternative to economic viability among the great companies turned to agriculture, as well as to the rural producers who need warranties of marketing and prices to their products, what is not offered to the majority of the cultures.Therefor it's good to say that in spite of viability the production to the agricultor, it doesn't exterminate the exploration of the handwork in the rural tasks.
