Resumen:
The present work brings a discussion about the teaching of spirituality in schools. Its main
objective is to analyze the opinions of teachers and students regarding spiritual education in
primary and secondary education. And as specific objectives: to analyze the spiritual
education student and teacher in the school environment; to identify human values taught in
school for an ethic of justice, solidarity and respect for differences, and to investigate personal
and collective personal values spread throughout the school. To achieve this goal, we began
with a brief analysis of spirituality bringing the ideas of authors such as Comenius and his
opinions about primary education from spirituality in schools. Then, it was questioned how
the teaching of spiritual values is being taught, considering the moment in which one lives
today. Then, an analysis of this teaching from the point of view of the student and teacher of
primary and secondary education was carried out through the application of a questionnaire in
schools in the Sousa-PB area, Marizópolis-PB, and a student from Cajazeiras - PB.
