Abstract:
Statistical Process Control (SPC) provides product quality control throughout an organization's production process, in other word, in the input of the raw material, all the transforming elements called input, during the processing, and the output of the finished products, can be called of output of the production process. This control makes use of statistical tools to support decision making. Thus, with the increasing competition in the productive sector, the continuous improvement of the process has only been achieved when trying to implement new procedures and methodologies through the use of statistical process control. Therefore, the present work had as objective the application of statistical process control technique in the manufacture of the corn flakes of the Company Products Brotinhos located in the city of Serra Talhada-PE, more precisely in the sector of packaging of corn flakes, in order to identify possible problems that may affect the proper functioning of the production process. As well as alerting about the revenue values wasted by the company, when it comes to the manufacture of products with weight above the standard. In order to reach the objectives, it was necessary to collect data, which were used in the elaboration of X-bar and R-bar control charts, it was observed that on the production process there was a special cause. Thus, through quality tools, it was possible to identify what might have caused this cause to occur, and an action plan was elaborated through the 5W2H tool, listing possible activities that, when executed, aim to reduce the variability of the process at the beginning of the workday of the company under study. Soon, the CEP came as a tool to help in the stability of the process controls, allowing the maintenance of the quality of the manufactured products, effectively, in all phases of the manufacturing process.
