Résumé:
This work claims a numerical study of heavy oil reservoir with high viscosity using a
secondary recovery method of water flooding in a producting five-spot scheme. The model
applied was water/oil biphase flow to solve the equation system that describes a biphase
water/oil flow into oil reservoir. The equations system was solved by finite element method
using FlexPDE program. The study cases were performed in a quarter of reservoir with a
viscosity range changing from 1x10-12 to 8x10-11 in homogen and random reservoirs. An
adictional study case of layer flow was performed to analyse the solution behavior and
velocity fields, simulating a configuration of permeabilities during a passage from diferent
kinds of soil composition zones. The results obtained showed that saturation curves for high viscosity oils are quite diferent from literature for the case of same viscosity, showing
unreality of this asumption which is used for smooth effects of mobility phase during flow.
The produced oil volume from high viscosity oil decays as viscosity increases, so have been useful a terciary recovery after this producing scheme. In this sense, although the viscosity is a resistance parameter, is the permeability which realy controls the production instead wrote in bibliogarphy.
