Solanum lycopersicum L. is a vegetable with economic and food importance. She is cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions a round the world. Many phytosanitary problems in their cultivation are related. For example, viral diseases can vary in severity. Limiting viruses are of the Family Geminiviridae where the species of genre Begomovirus which act more strongly in plantation. In the work was evaluated the incidence and influence of Begomovirus in producing areas of S. lycopersicumin Cariri region, Paraíba state. A data collection of symptomatic plants in two producing áreas was performed in Serra Branca (area1) and Amparo cities (area 2) identifying the incidence and influence of virus in plantation. Samples foliar of S. lycopersicum were collected to observation and classification of symptons. Non parametric multivariate analysis (presence/absence) in both areas, were realized to verify the influence of virus in S. lycopersicum based on the virals symptons. DNA extraction was peformed by CTAB method to virus identification. An especific PCR was used to DNA with molecular markers PAL1v1978 and PAR1c496. Permutational analysis of variance (PERMANOVA) hás shown divergences in severity of virals symptons in each plantation. The tests howed a similarity between the symptons observed to roughness (31.54%) and deformation leaf (59.03%) in Amparo; roughness (75.11%) and yellowish patches (18.45%) in Serra Branca. The DNA was confirmed to Begomovirus.
