This is an exploratory-descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, using bibliographic research. As a research technique, interviews were conducted with family farmers in the municipality of São José dos Corduroys -PB. The survey was conducted in the period from February 1 to 15, 2018, and it was verified that the producers showed difficulties in the production and commercialization of its products, especially on the provision of technical assistance, water resources and seed bank training. With regard to participation in programs, producers had access to credit and marketing programs, especially in relation to the National School Feeding Program, where they did not awaken to this public policy.
